Breast Cancer, The Battle Against Overweight Is Played Over Time

nother study published in the same journal of the Journal of the American Medical Association calls for a little sport.It has been clear for many years that the fight against physical inactivity can reduce against the surpoids6. But there again, how long and how intense are the most beneficial ?
To find out, the team of John Jakicic divided 201 overweight women aged 21 to 45 years in four groups playing each on two parameters : the duration and intensity of the exercise (moderate or intense).
Result: the length is more important than the intensity of the exercise. Combined with a diet, a little sport can reduce the weight of 8 to 10%.
The scientists recommend and 2 ½ hours of moderate exercise per week, if necessary, can grow up to 60 minutes per day as recommended by the American Institute of Medicine.
"Attention, this amount of physical expenditure can be achieved by the sum of small" ends efforts "of 10 minutes or more throughout the week" as stated Dr. Min Lee in a éditorial8 accompanying the two studies.
Cardiovascular diseases, cancer, overweight and obesity, diabetes… the benefits of exercise are widely demonstrated.
The national nutrition and health (PNNS) included promoting a half-hour walk daily, but so far no campaign in the fight against physical inactivity has been committed. And if tomorrow, your doctor prescribed you 30 minutes of sport ?
